Amy Rose is a character from the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series by Sega. She is a pink hedgehog who is known for her unwavering, and sometimes overzealous, affection for Sonic.
Her first appearance was in Sonic CD, released in 1993. In this game, she is kidnapped by Metal Sonic, and Sonic must rescue her.
Throughout the series, Amy often chases after Sonic, attempting to win his heart. She wields a large Piko Piko Hammer as her signature weapon, which she uses to defend herself and occasionally express her frustration when Sonic tries to evade her.
